It's never too late to learn realist drawing and painting! You will be working from observation to make drawings or paintings of things you choose yourself, with as much guidance as you would like.

I will teach you classical techniques of simplifying shapes and using light and shadow to create pictures that really look three-dimensional.

You can draw with pencil, charcoal, or any other material. People who choose to paint can use acrylic or oil paint, which are very forgiving materials that allow you to make as many changes as you want to.
