CLIMATE JUSTICE ACTIVISM
Curator and Teaching Artist, Pollinator Power!, Helen Millard Children’s Gallery, Woodmere Art Museum, Philadelphia, PA, 2023
Children and teenagers I will teach at Mindy Flexer Art School, Woodmere Art Museum, and Allens Lane Art Center during the summer will collaborate to create an installation of a pollinator garden in the Millard Gallery in the fall. They will also learn about creating pollinator gardens at homes and at school.

Children and teenagers I taught at Mindy Flexer Art School and Woodmere Art Museum collaborated to create an installation of an ecosystem. They also created an artistic community as they worked together to make real and imaginary plants and animals from the past, present, and future.

This show of artwork children created at my studio was about water on our changing planet. It was coordinated with a workshop for Rain Check, a Philadelphia Water Department program that helps residents manage stormwater at their homes, using free rain barrels, downspout planters, or permeable paving installed at a reduced price.

Kelly’s art teacher, parents, students, and I collaborated to create a 12’ tall outdoor pipe organ with a nature theme from once-use plastics. This project was coordinated with an interdisciplinary curriculum.
