What We’re Doing
One big project this class will be working on is creating art for an installation of a rain forest in Woodmere’s Helen Millard Children’s Gallery in September. Artists will be making a whole environment, with plants, critters, earth, and sky.  They will get to draw, paint, make sculpture, and work with fabric. They will be inspired by observing nature, learning about the rain forest, using their imaginations, and looking at the work of other artists.

Artists can collaborate or make their own individual projects. There will also be opportunities for working on portfolio preparation for Creative and Performing Arts High School, and other personal projects. There will be plenty of personal attention, freedom, and support, so each artist can follow their own vision and take the next steps on their own path. Come be you with us!

Fees
Break-even is $72, with a sliding scale of $44 - $144. Please use financial aid only if you need it, and please consider paying extra if you have it, so we can create accessibility and balance.

Building an inclusive, diverse artistic community is at the heart of our mission. With this in mind, all fees are on a sliding scale, to make the class accessible to as wide a range of artists as possible. The sliding scale is on the honor system. Please be thoughtful about what financial aid you need and what financial resource you can contribute. I recommend that people pay between two-thirds to double the break-even fee for the class, but it is fine to pay less if you need to or more if you have it. Let’s all work together to include everybody!
